The mission of Delaware Wildcats Cheer (DWC) is to provide elementary and middle school age youth girls the opportunity to cheer for the Newark/Middletown community, while building trust, friendship and confidence within themselves and each other.
Objective / Purpose:
Be enthusiastic about cheerleading and have a great time while doing it.
Teach cheerleading skills correctly with an emphasis on the importance of safety.
Build positive self-esteem as individuals, teammates, and community members.
Promote the value of responsibility, commitment and teamwork.

Who can participate in Delaware Wildcats Cheer (DWC)?
Cheer is open to youth girls between the ages of 7- 11.
Are there Try Outs?
No. All skill levels are welcome!
When Does the Cheer Season Start?
Our 2023 Season begins the week of July 17th and will end with Playoff and Championships in October/November.
What are Practice Days and Times?
Practice will start the week of July 17th @ 6pm at Brader Elementary, but will increase in days as the season progresses. Cheerleaders must attend practices to participate in the games. If a cheerleader is unable to attend practice or a game, please inform the Coaches immediately. Please check the instagram page for actual start date: @delawarewildcats_cheer
How will Cheer Communications be Provided to Parents?
Once your child is registered, you will be added to the DWC parent group chat. The Coaches will communicate, practice updates, cancelations, game times etc. in the chat.
What will it cost to participate in DWC Cheer?
Cheer Registration is $210, which includes Warm-up suit, cheer top, skirt bottom, 1 set of pom-poms, bow. Parents are responsible for sneakers, crew socks, bloomers, compression long top and bottom.
Cheerleaders may wear a modified Pre Game uniform for the 2023 Scrimmage/Pre Game season (If agreed upon and at Parents expense). The modified uniform consists of a basic white t-shirt, orange shorts, white crew socks and sneakers. Links to the cheer items for the Pre Season will be provided in the team chat.

What is the refund policy?
Registration fee is non-refundable after the uniform order is placed. All items included in the registration are yours to keep.
CANCELED SEASON: Should the season be canceled prior to the first practice/game, the registration fee will be refunded. (etc., COVID, MonkeyPox, etc...you never know! ) Cheerleaders will receive any items ordered.
